Close your eyes and imagine... Dunes as far as the eye can see, bordering long beaches caressed by the clear waters of the Bay of Audierne... Endless hiking trails, surfing sessions until sunset, and dinners with your feet in the water: this is what awaits you if you choose to spend your holidays in Saint-Jean-Trolimon.

Facing the Bay of Audierne, Saint-Jean-Trolimon is located in the Bigouden region, in the Finistère department. Close to Penmarch, Le Guilvinec and Bénodet, this charming destination is located 20 kilometres south of Quimper. Between land and sea, Saint-Jean-Trolimon is endowed with an absolutely magnificent natural heritage, and an architectural heritage of choice which will plunge you into the heart of the traditions of Brittany, and the Bigouden Country. The list of things to see is long, so get your good trainers and get going! The "Circuit des trois chapelles" will be perfect for you to discover the three chapels of Saint-Evy, Saint-Vio and Tronoën. The latter, known for its vast parish enclosure, houses a monumental calvary, a unique stone vault, three bell towers, a 3.35-metre granite altar and beautiful doors that you will be able to discover during this visit. Called the "Cathedral of the Dunes", it has watched over the thick dunes of Saint-Jean-Trolimon since the 15th century, and has the particularity of having been erected on a place of worship dedicated to Venus. The chapel of Saint-Evy will amaze you with its ponds and marshes which give it a little taste of paradise. On the seafront, the Blockhaus is also one of the witnesses of the history of the village: built in 1942 during the German occupation, this piece of the "Atlantic Wall" can be seen today near the beach of Tronoën.

Take the time to walk along the dunes that border the beach of Tronoën, to walk along the GR34 paths that will allow you to discover the moors, the area of palus, and to reach the Pointe de la Torche from which the panoramas on the turquoise sea that borders Saint-Jean-Trolimon are incomparable. Follow the Route du Vent Solaire by bike, ride the mountain bike loop of the ponds, and visit the Maison des Jeux Bretons to try your hand at about fifteen traditional games such as boule au trou, tug-of-war or galoche bigoudène. Don't miss the steles, fountains, crosses, but also the manor houses that make Saint-Jean-Trolimon an inspiring destination, such as that of Trévinou.

Finally, Saint-Jean-Trolimon is the perfect place to enjoy the pleasures of the sea. On its fine sandy beach, lovers of wide open spaces will have a great time! Swimming, walks with your feet in the water, paddle, longboard, body-surfing and other quiet moments under the sun will punctuate your days. Our advice? At low tide, the beach is revealed over more than 10 kilometres and allows walkers to reach the Pointe de la Torche, during a magnificent walk along the coast! Tastings of galettes, initiation to surfing and a visit to the fantastic Eckmühl Lighthouse located a few steps away will complete this stay in Brittany.
