In the heart of the Dévoluy massif, in the Hautes-Alpes, La Joue du Loup is a charming village resort renowned for the warm atmosphere of its small wooden chalets. In all seasons, it welcomes you in the greatest conviviality and proposes you many activities.
The twin resort of Super Dévoluy, La Joue du Loup forms with the latter one of the largest ski area in the Southern Alps: the Dévoluy. Between the Grand Ferrand (2759 m), the Obiou (2790 m) and the Farraud ridges (2563 m), you will enjoy a breathtaking setting, a height difference of 1000 metres and 100 kilometres of slopes to enjoy winter sports. On the program : alpine skiing, cross-country skiing, ski touring, snowshoeing, sledging, snowmobiling but also romantic dog sledding. Freestyle enthusiasts will be able to enjoy the thrill of snowpark modules (boardercross, moguls, rails) and novices will be able to benefit from the professionalism of qualified instructors from ski schools.
In summer, the mountain pastures of La Joue du Loup cover their green carpet and the resort invites you to fill up with vitamin D. Start by enjoying the mountain air and the sun of Provence by taking the 200 kilometres of hiking trails of the Dévoluy massif. From La Joue du Loup, join the village of Agnières, discover the ruins of the castle of Malmort or climb the slopes of the Col du Festre. If you prefer cycling, go to the area's bike parks or mountain bike down the many downhill routes. And to vary the pleasures, many other activities await you: climbing, via ferrata, cani-rando, quadbike, squash, gym, fitness...
During your stay at La Joue du Loup, also take the time to discover the surroundings. One of the emblematic places of Dévoluy is certainly the peak of Bure. Culminating at 2700 meters, its plateau, below, hosts the largest astronomical observatory of the northern hemisphere made up of 7 immense radio antennas. But also discover the Col du Noyer, the Gorges des Etroits and the sources of Gillardes whose flow can reach 56 m³ per second in spring. During these excursions, take a few gourmet breaks to taste the local products : Dévoluy lamb, sheep's milk farm products, bread baked on a wood fire, aromatic plants, traditional jams...

Restaurant à la Joue du Loup "O' Patou" and "Le Duo" (Le Dévoluy): very good restaurants with family atmosphere and typical dishes. Restaurant in Superdévoluy: "La Table du Yeti". In the evening around 6pm, torchlight descent at the bottom of the slopes. Welcome drink at the Joue du Loup tourist office.
