Great welcome at the pizzeria la dolce vita, fast service and staff attentive to everyone's needs, very nice with the children. The skiset store is top notch, the staff is very welcoming, very well organized! An incomparable lasagna dish at the butcher-caterer! I love the little clothing store, a must! Everywhere the welcome is very nice, you feel at home! Do not miss the fireworks and the torchlight retreat, hats off to you!

The Family Pass: very honestly, even when you don't use all the facilities (swimming pool, ice rink...) it pays for itself really quickly... it's really worth calculating on arrival.

Very good welcome at the restaurant "L'Orée des Pistes", as well for a pancake snack as for a meal with mountain specialities. Great panoramic sledge giving good sensations.

The resort is extremely welcoming, with a huge range of activities for all ages, including mountain biking (thanks to the HTT school), hiking, accrobranche, summer tobogganing, ice skating, cinema... Good dining options, with a large number of establishments and a wide range of choices. Several take-away options too, and plenty of local shops. And all on site, when you want to take your car and head down to embrun, the "water and white water" offers are added on top of that, including swimming in the lake. Truly, an excellent blend of sea and mountains! The only small regret about the Les Orres resort is the layout of the parking lots and parking spaces, which unfortunately makes the car such an integral part of the landscape and everyday life.

We appreciated the shop in Les Orres 1800 of local products, we booked and enjoyed in the apartment a raclette with the loan of the equipment, a delight and very good value for money. And we were lucky enough to be able to bring us some very good cheese. Also in Embrun, there is a shop "Fromage et Tradition", quality and delicious products. We recommend paragliding, it was only happiness. Mountain biking was a real passion for my son and my husband, with a course from 3h30 to 1650 by serious professionals who give very good advice on how to make beautiful routes. The lake of Serre Ponçon, wouah!! Uf hikes, incredible fauna and flora and so magnificent... Finally there are still other activities to do and to do again. It's really a magical and beautiful place.

I really liked two bars: the one that makes pizzas and beers and the one next door, run by a delicious lady. On the other hand, the Italian restaurant, I don't recommend it, they're not correct and they don't sell personally. Sorry I don't remember the names of these bars but there are only three on the station so you'll remember what I said when you're in the central square of the station. The resort's leisure centre is also very family-oriented and my 4 and a half year old son talks to me regularly about the supervisor Aurélie (very professional): he loved spending time there.

We loved the walk to the lake of Sainte Marguerite. Being alone with two children of 6 and 7 years old, we chose to take the chairlift. We were not disappointed as we were able to sled on a small piece of eternal snow. The children were conquered by this extraordinary adventure. Once we arrived at the lake, we were able to cool down to the waist in pure but icy water. The view is breathtaking, the route dotted with beautiful little flowers. We even had the chance to hear the marmots whistle for a long time, and to cross one at the bend of a path. I really recommend this walk.

We appreciated the following visits: - village of Saint Véran (the highest in Europe) - Serre-Ponçon animal park (fairy bird show, and great to see the marmots meal!) - Museoscope (history of the Serre-Ponçon dam) - variety of activities offered at Serre-ponçon Lake and Embrun. On the other hand, the walks are too difficult for children (3 to 6-7 years old): to be taken into account.
