Dynamic and friendly, Risoul excels in the delicate art of captivating the hearts of holidaymakers looking for a stay in the mountains. With a very good reputation among skiers in the Southern Alps, this charming resort is the perfect place to settle down with your family.

In the Hautes-Alpes department, in the Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur region, Risoul is made up of two distinct sites, a village part at an altitude of 1174 metres and a family-friendly ski resort at an altitude of 1850 metres. Risoul shares the White Forest domain with the town of Vars, and does not fail to impress many holidaymakers every year thanks to its 185 kilometres of perfect slopes for both experienced sportsmen and beginners. As for downhill skiing, there are 116 slopes waiting for skiers and snowboarders: 10 black, 40 red, 45 blue and 21 green. You can also count on the presence of a well-equipped play area for the youngest and novices, and experienced riders will enjoy a well-equipped snowpark, with slide bars, half-pipe and big air. Contemplatives and other hiking enthusiasts can count on more than 34 kilometres of itineraries for pedestrians and snowshoes, to stroll through the thick larch forest covered with compact snow, a forest that has some 900,000 trees recorded by the ONF. On the side of Peyrefolle (2440 metres), l'Homme de Pierre (2361 metres), Vallon du Mélézet, Pointe de Razis (2571 metres), Col des Saluces (2435 metres), Pics de Chabrières (2750 metres) and Crevoux (2649 metres), you can admire some of the most beautiful panoramas that Risoul has to offer. In addition to skiing and snowshoeing, you can also enjoy the joys of sledding, dog sledding, snowmobiling or ice skating before enjoying a good hot chocolate in the resort (or mulled wine, depending on your age and your desire!).

Are you a thrill seeker? Opt for a zip line outing in summer and winter for a bird's eye view of the resort from the Mélezet chairlift! Are you more interested in wellness breaks? Head to Risoul spa for a well-deserved relaxation break: massage, sauna, hammam, hydromassage baths, facials and other massages will allow you to let go. But whether you are sporty or not, one thing in Risoul will bring everyone together: gas-tro-no-mie! Risoul's gourmet flavours are above all comforting. Here, raclette and tartiflette have a place of choice in all the good addresses of the village! And to balance these very unhealthy meals, let's face it, there's nothing better than eating apples!
