What will be your main activity during your holiday in Sérignan ? Swimming, of course ! Bordering the Mediterranean, the 5 kilometres of fine sandy beaches of this seaside resort are perfect for long breaks under the Languedoc sun. The Grande Maïre beach is the main beach of Sérignan : located to the east, near the Grande Maïre Reserve and its pond, it consists of a large sandbank bordered by dunes. Just like the pond, this beach is a famous kitesurfing spot for skiers and snowboarders. Next to it is the Chapelle beach : mostly frequented by campers, this beach is ideal for swimming and relaxing. The naturist beach of Sérignan is renowned for being one of the most beautiful in the whole region : peaceful and wild, it runs alongside the Orpellières nature reserve and will not fail to seduce you with its beauty. A little further, the beach of the reserve is certainly one of the most impressive of Sérignan, because of its dunes which can reach up to 8 meters in height. Natural and preserved, it is perfect for a refreshing break. Very little frequented, this large expanse of sand and shells will be a paradise for nature lovers and holidaymakers looking for peace and quiet.
Moreover, you will absolutely have to visit the vast Orpellières estate : protected by the Conservatoire du Littoral, it is one of the jewels of Sérignan. Located at the mouth of the Orb, this 150-hectare area (including a beach, a salt meadow area and a dune barrier) is home to numerous animal and plant species, which flourish in this unspoiled environment. Many hiking routes criss-cross Serignan and its coast : through the countryside, vineyards, the coastal path and beaches, you will discover the magnificence of this place so well preserved. On foot or by bike, during your strolls, you may have the opportunity to meet rabbits, horses, rattles, lizards and hoopoe, beautiful birds with striped feathers, recognizable by their melodious song.
On the village side, Sérignan has an interesting architectural and cultural heritage. Its tangled streets typical of the region as well as its remains of the Renaissance or the Middle Ages (ramparts, porches, towers and arcades) make it a pleasant place to stroll, in the shade of stone buildings. The Notre-Dame-de-Grâce collegiate church, listed as a Historic Monument, is certainly the most beautiful building in the commune : its Romanesque portal, its 19th century stained-glass windows and its bell tower more than 30 metres high are worth a look. Art lovers will appreciate a visit to the Musée Régional d'Art Contemporain, which houses over 450 colourful works : an ideal stopover for holidaymakers looking for a little freshness.
Finally, in terms of gastronomy, Sérignan will conquer the hearts of gourmets : local wines, fresh fish, sun-drenched fruit, macaronade, pelardon and seafood are sure to be at the rendezvous of your dinners during your holidays under the Serignan sun.

I visited Figueras in Spain, I visited the site of Minerve, the city of Carcassonne makes the boat trip to the 9 locks in Narbonne on the Canal du Midi enjoy the beach valras for restaurants I recommend the farm in Serignan and the Anais in valras for its mussels and French fries.
