Ideally located between Cancale and the wonderful privateer city of Saint-Malo, the seaside resort of Saint-Coulomb is a popular holiday destination for holidaymakers seeking authenticity and elegance. Welcoming all year round, this beautiful Brittany will plunge you into the heart of the country's traditions in less time than it takes to say.

Sun, Malouinières and golden sandy beaches: this is what awaits you if it is in Saint-Coulomb that you choose to spend your holidays. Between land and sea, this seaside resort on the Emerald Coast has a rich heritage, typically Breton, which is really worth discovering. The Pigeonnier du Vieux Châtel, but also the Saint-Vincent chapel or the remains of Plessis-Bertrand are to be added to your list of visits not to be missed. Accessible at low tide, the Fort du Guesclin is worth a visit: to the east of the beaches, on a rocky islet, the one that was once a high Roman fortress is now a magnificent fortified castle, adorned with stocky towers and abundant vegetation. If this private property cannot be visited, it is still worth a look for the beauty of its architecture and its sublime setting, typical of the defensive constructions that dot the Breton coast. But what makes Saint-Coulomb's reputation is its Malouinières, so wonderful. These residences, emblematic of the local landscape, bear witness to Saint-Coulomb's rich past. The Villa de Roz-Ven, the Malouinière des Courtils-Launay, the Lupin, the Ville es Offrans, the Ville Bague or the Grande Gatinais or the Gentilhommière du Biot Bois are among the most magnificent residences in the city. Recognizable for the elegance of their construction (high roofs, windows topped with granite, fireplaces, tapestries and canvases, objects from the American or Indian trade...) and their French gardens, these former shipowners' houses built between the 15th and 17th centuries are the pride of the region. To make sure you don't miss out on anything in this impressive building, several hiking trails criss-cross Saint-Coulomb, such as the circuit des primeurs (9 kilometres), Saint-Coulomb on the land side (13 kilometres), the circuit des armateurs (12 kilometres) or the "Entre terre et mer" walk (30 kilometres).

Along its narrow streets dotted with terraces and tall, cosy houses, take the time to sit down and succumb (yes, that's the word: succumb!) to the delights of Breton gastronomy. Far Breton, kouign-amann, buckwheat pancakes, crêpes, oysters, chouchen, Plougastel strawberries, Guéméné andouilles, cider, scallops, Kig-Ha-Farz and other Paimpol coconuts will delight young and old alike.

Finally, it is impossible to leave Saint-Coulomb without having enjoyed its long beaches of fine sand: Anse du Guesclin is a real haven of tranquillity surrounded by dunes, nestled between the Pointe des Grands Nez and the Pointe du Nid. Les Chevrets beach, la plage de la Touesse and le plage du Port will allow you to take beautiful breaks relaxing under the Breton sun, but will also satisfy sports holidaymakers who will be able to practice a wide range of water sports, from sailing to kayaking, kitesurfing, rowing, stand-up paddle or aquajogging.
