Near Capbreton and Vieux-Boucau, on the Landes coast, Seignosse invites you to enjoy the wide open spaces. Between ocean, forests, lakes, your holidays will be relaxing, invigorating and full of memories.
A historic surfing resort in France, Seignosse hosts an annual world championship event. But it is not necessary to be a professional to enjoy its fabulous spots and many schools will allow you to initiate or perfect your technique. Many other activities await you on one of the four beaches of the Seignossais coast : idleness, sand castles with children, swimming, kitesurfing, flyfish, towed buoys... If you prefer fresh water, go on the lake Blanc where you can practice canoeing or fishing. Next to the central beach, discover the largest water park in the Landes, Atlantic Park, with giant slides.
After a few hours of aquatic pleasures, discover the village and the hinterland. Seignosse has all the characteristics of a pleasant village of the Landes: beautiful Landes houses, the pelota pelota pediment, a charming wash-house, small shops... Also appreciate the beautiful church Saint-André, built from the 13th century and deeply remodelled afterwards. Then take the many hiking trails that criss-cross the resort. They will allow you to discover the nature reserve of the Etang Noir, the large maritime pine forest and to join the beautiful golf course of Seignosse. By bike, enjoy the Vélodyssée which crosses the whole length of the commune and allows you to follow the coast well beyond the station.
Ideally located, Seignosse will also allow you to make some escapades towards impossible to circumvent sites of the Landes and the Basque Country. Less than 10 kilometres away, go to Capbreton to appreciate its charm and rich heritage : the Saint-Nicolas church, the Rey house, the fishing and yachting ports... Then take the road to Bayonne, a town of Art and History which will impress you with its festive and gourmet character. But also visit the abbey of Arthous, the monastery of Sorde l'Abbaye or the eco-museum of Marquèze. Back in Seignosse, treat yourself to a good restaurant and taste all the flavours of south-western cuisine : foie gras, asparagus from the Landes sands, duck magrets, confits, Tursan wines...

To avoid, the restaurant "Paye ta Moule" (formerly La Baraque à moules, which had a very good reputation), which has become catastrophic since the change of ownership: customer reception and deplorable service, non-existent organization, poor quality... a disappointment.
