Between Guérande and Piriac-sur-Mer, bordered by marshes on one side and Atlantic beaches on the other, La Turballe is a seaside resort well known to ocean fans. Situated on the Guérande Peninsula, La Turballe, which was once famous for the production of canned sardines, is now one of the most popular seaside resorts in Loire-Atlantique. France's 8th largest port, thanks in particular to anchovy and sardine, hake and tuna fishing, the town's fishing port has more than 80 trawlers which, every year, marvel at their immensity, both large and small. The marina of La Turballe is also a privileged site: with its 330 berths, it shelters many boats and sailing ships all year round. From the port, you can embark on a sea trip to discover the peninsula and its treasures, and even take your boating licence.

On the eastern side of the commune, the marshes can be visited on foot, by bicycle, by little train or on horseback, according to your wishes. Emblematic of the peninsula, they are an essential part of your stay, as beautiful by day as by night, when the sun sets and its colours are reflected in the water of the marshes for a perfect postcard of this little corner of paradise. Spread out on either side of the ports, intimate coves, wild beaches and long, well-equipped stretches of land facing the sea follow one another. From Ker Elisabeth beach to Pen Bron beach (naturist), via the Grande Falaise beach, the Bretons' beach and the Bastille beach, you can swim, or practice many water activities such as sea kayaking, sailing, paddle, surfing, longe-côte...
