Renowned for its exceptional snow cover, the ski resort of La Rosière enjoys a privileged location, very close to the French-Italian border. Located in the heart of the Tarentaise valley, in the department of Savoie, it is camped on a balcony 1850 meters high facing due south, offering generous sunshine and a sumptuous panorama over the valley below. With the "Ville fleurie", "Famille Plus", "Grand domaine" and "Station village" labels, La Rosière and its 160 kilometre ski area are very popular with holidaymakers, both in winter and summer.
A multitude of sporting activities await you in this pretty resort with typical chalets. Children will have the opportunity to learn to ski during private or group lessons, discover the joys of skiing on the ice rink but also by toboggan or by paret (small old wooden toboggan) with the Club des Galopins. Skiing, snowboarding, dog sledding, there are many activities in the resort. The more adventurous can even try paragliding, driving on ice at an altitude of 1500 metres, and even snowkiting at the Petit Saint-Bernard pass. Diving enthusiasts will be able to explore the fauna and flora of the frozen lake of Tignes during a unique underwater expedition ! The resort also benefits from several trails and routes reserved for snowshoe hiking. The Haute Tarentaise is a favourite territory for trekking lovers and is renowned for its exceptional landscapes. Take for example the path of the Petit Trappeur, walking through plateaus and forests in the footsteps of the animals that inhabit the mountains : this playful itinerary is ideal for families. For their part, cross-country ski enthusiasts will enjoy several loops reserved for them : 6 kilometres of marked and maintained trails mark out the Nordic domain of La Rosière, and 18 kilometres of loops walking through the large plateau located at the bottom of the village of La Séez will also be easily accessible to them.
After all these peregrinations, treat yourself to a few moments of relaxation ! Whatever the season, you will be able to enjoy the different relaxation and well-being areas of La Rosière : the Spa ô des Cimes and the Spa des Balcons : massages, facial and body treatments, sauna, hammam, whirlpool baths and heated swimming pool will be at your disposal.
In summer, holidaymakers can also enjoy a wide range of activities: golf, trail, hiking, mountain biking, tennis, fishing, climbing and via ferrata, there is something for everyone.
Finally, in order to magnificently finish the day, you will be able to satisfy your appetite in one of the warm restaurants of the resort : "Les Marmottes", its terrace and its menu with Italian and Savoyard influences, "La Grange" and its friendly atmosphere or "Le Genépi" and its generous cuisine, so many restaurants that will delight your taste buds before starting a new day of snowy adventures.

To be recommended: Le Chatelars, a nice little village with a stop at the local inn which works with organic and regional products, very simple with a few tables outside (it's better to book in advance).
