The first resort of the Marquenterre, this charming seaside resort enjoys a privileged natural heritage, thanks to its immense protected dune area, studded with blockhouses. Door wide open on the very precious Baie d'Authie, Fort-Mahon-Plage is the place where nature lovers come to enjoy a breath of fresh air. To clear your head? You put your boots on to walk across the bay. The dune massif, the foreshore, the seals swimming in the bay, the Pointe de Routhiauville and the mollières (salt meadows) will no longer hold any secrets for you! Absolutely magnificent summer and winter, the bay will reveal its wild character, changing with the seasons, tides and weather, offering a unique and amazing landscape to each visit.

Fort-Mahon is the joy of simple little joys, which make the holidays taste like a real holiday. Take the time to walk barefoot on the clear sand of its long beaches, and collect a whole bunch of small shells before sitting down on the terrace to enjoy delicious "moules-frites" and a "tiote bière" at the restaurant l'Alcyone or l'Hippocampe, with a marinière sauce or maroilles (it's local!). We arrived at the right time for the Art Beach weekend. It was really very good and on top of that a great time. Also worth seeing is the ornithological reserve of the Baie de Somme du Grand-Laviers. Superb!!!
