On the hillside, in the heart of a particularly preserved environment, Ramatuelle is the Mediterranean chic par excellence. A seaside holiday paradise, here you come to see, and to be seen. Renowned for the magnificence of its beaches, it is quite natural that the very elegant Ramatuelle has, over the years, forged a reputation of prestige with the "jet-set", which arrives in large numbers on its territory during the summer. However, Ramatuelle cultivates a certain authenticity and simplicity that will win over lovers of picturesque but refined interludes in the heart of Provence and the Mediterranean. On the peninsula of Saint-Tropez, 7 kilometers from La Croix Valmer, Ramatuelle offers from its narrow streets protected by a large wall of ramparts panoramic views of the incredible bay of Pampelonne. Here, the houses are old, elegant, topped with pink tile roofs, adorned with stones and period windows, and open onto small narrow streets that give Ramatuelle a charm all Provencal. Medieval village, but also perched village, Ramatuelle is a real jewel, which bewitches by the beauty of its landscapes, and the charm which emerges from it. What to see? The church of Ramatuelle built against the ancient ramparts, with its 17th century serpentine portal, but also the Château de Volterra, and the Château de Saint-Amé, known as the setting for the film Le Gendarme en Balade. A land of artists par excellence, Ramatuelle has attracted many actors, painters, designers and photographers for many years. It is therefore quite natural that the town has been organising the famous Ramatuelle Festival since 1985, a theatre festival of great renown, which attracts many celebrities to its Théâtre de Verdure. In August, it is the Jazz Festival of Ramatuelle which makes the city vibrate, as well as the Festival of the Classical Nights in July, and the numerous artisanal markets which take place throughout the year near the Place de l'Ormeau.

But finally, if there is ONE star in Ramatuelle, it is the sea. Numerous beaches surround Ramatuelle, offering to contemplate a whole string of panoramas all more grandiose the ones than the others. From private beaches to public beaches, the 15 kilometres of coastline of the commune reveal numerous hiking itineraries, which will allow you to reach the Cap Taillat, the Pointe Moussure, the Cap Lardier, the Cap Pinet and the Cap Camarat, or the famous beach of Pampelonne.
