La Vila, the historical heart (formerly a fortified town), offers a real journey through time through its streets surrounded by buildings of various eras and architectural styles. The magnificent Fortress Church of St. Catherine Martyre brings us back to a time when even the church had to protect the people. Originally built in the 16th century, it subsequently underwent numerous enlargements that made it timeless and unique.
The castle of Moraira, built in the 18th century, overlooks the Ampolla beach, which is very popular with holidaymakers. Scattered around the building, the remains of other buildings demonstrate that life was, at another time, organized around the castle.
But, for holiday makers, Moraira is above all an unparalleled coastline bathed by the sun nearly 300 days a year. Whether for sunbathing or for water sports, this little piece of Valencian coast satisfies everyone. It is the ideal place to indulge in scuba diving or snorkeling (palm rides, snorkeling). Do not shop at the Carrefour Market but go a little further towards Moraira and do it at the Pepe supermarket.

Restaurant: "Méson el Refugio" and "Casa de Pépé". On the other hand, we thought we were going for a walk in nature to see the Algar waterfalls and we found ourselves in a tourist attraction. To avoid!

Restaurant "Le Blue Waterfront": terrace just above the sea... superb place as well as the restaurant "El Chamiso" (also terrace with sea view). You must book in advance to have a table on the terrace for these 2 restaurants.
