Unquestionable asset of the province of Barcelona : the Costa Barcelona which runs along the Mediterranean over more than 100 kilometers and contains enchanting places. To the north, the seaside resorts of Malgrat del Mar, Santa Susanna, Pineda del Mar and Callela are distinguished by the beauty of their long sandy beaches. To the south, in Sitges and its surroundings, the coast is a little steeper and offers alternate paradisiacal beaches and small quiet coves. But the coastline of Costa Barcelona offers many other possibilities for entertaining. With its nautical clubs and marinas, you can practice many activities such as sailing, windsurfing, sea kayaking or diving.
After enjoying the sea, discover the rich heritage of the cities of the province. Barcelona, the capital, is obviously the favorite destination. With its Roman remains, its medieval quarters and the more recent works of Gaudi, the city has many facets. Sagrada Família (a most unusual monument...), the National Art Museum of Catalonia, the Güell Park, the Picasso Museum. But do not forget to take a stroll along the Rambla, along the seafront (ideally by bicycle or scooter) and in the gardens of Montjuïc. Many other cities deserve a getaway like Terrassa (Visigothic-Romanesque churches, castle of Vallparadis...), Mataro (Basilica, Casa Coli i Regàs...), Vic (cathedral, episcopal palace)...
During your stay in the province of Barcelona, enjoy also its incredible natural spaces. In the south, you can hike or bike through the El Garraf massif, the Olèrdola park or the El Foix park, home to the fabulous castles of Penyafort and Castellet. To the north, take a walk along the hiking trails of the Cadí-Moixeró Natural Park and enjoy the beauty of the Catalan Pyrenees and its wonderful medieval villages (Bagà, Saldes).
