On the Costa Brava, a few kilometres from the French border, Pals invites you to a gentle stay. Between its beautiful medieval city, its enchanting seaside and the flavours of its gastronomy, you will quickly be conquered.
With its long beach, Pals offers a gentle sandy break on a generally wilder and more rocky Costa Brava. Ideal for swimming or relaxing in the mild Mediterranean climate, the beach also offers, by its width, the opportunity to practice many activities : beach volleyball, snowshoeing, frisbee... If you prefer to spend time on the crystal clear water, you can enjoy sailing, kitesurfing, windsurfing, kayaking, paddle or having fun aboard towed buoys. For diving, prefer the more rugged coast to the south of the beach or treat yourself to an excursion around the Medes Islands, renowned for their rich seabed.
After a few hours by the sea, discover the historic centre of Pals. Built on a small hill, this medieval city has an irresistible charm. While crossing the Gothic enclosure, you will be seduced by the small lanes lined with beautiful bourgeois houses. At the top of the village, join the Mirador de Josep Pla from where you will have a panoramic view over the beach, the Medes islands and the Montgrí massif. But also appreciate the last vestige of the castle, a 15-meter Romanesque keep, the church of Sant Pere, built in the 10th century, and the many architectural elements of the Middle Ages: square towers of the ramparts, semicircular arches, pointed windows, stone balconies...
In the heart of the generous province of Girona, Pals also makes it possible to appreciate all the natural wealth of the surroundings. Take advantage, for example, of the proximity of the Bégur mountain to take the many paths that criss-cross it. One of them will allow you to discover the pine forest of Pals, the bed of the torrent Sa Riera and the round path which will take you back to the beach. If you like swings and putts, visit the Platja de Pals golf course, which has hosted many international competitions. In the evening, relax by watching the sunset and enjoying the famous local recipes : esqueixadas, escalivadas, cooked fish and seafood, Catalan cream, apple mille-feuille...

From the second week of September, the nearby supermarket is closed. The only one left is Playa de Pals, which is very expensive. It is possible to go to the Esclat supermarket in Palafrugell (15 minutes and 8 km) to shop at a fair price.

Coast and environment: magnificent! Pleasant and caring population; excellent reception. We loved the small surrounding beaches and the authentic small villages of this coast, especially Calella, Sa Riera etc...

We made many visits around the campsite: Pals, Begur, Girona (on the day of the very lively and grandiose flower festival St Jordi), Palamos, Lloret del Mar, Torres del Mar (breathtaking, my favourite)
