The village of Herm is located in the Landes, in the Nouvelle-Aquitaine region. About fifteen kilometres north-west of Dax and less than 30 minutes from the ocean beaches, this small village of Marensin between land and sea is the perfect place for authentic stays. A flowery village, Herm is one of those places where it is easy to feel good. Welcoming, well planted with trees, warm, the city enjoys a privileged location in the heart of greenery. Take the time to discover the heart of the town, where colourful flowerbeds and half-timbered houses enhance the charming old streets.

In the Landes de Gascogne forest, the largest artificial forest in Western Europe, Herm is a forest mainly made up of maritime pines that can reach up to 30 metres in height, providing shade and coolness to hikers and mountain bikers who walk along its paths. For the family, the circuit "Between flowers and forest" will be perfect for you to discover the most beautiful corners of the village, and is accessible from a very young age. A playground for the little ones, a stadium, tennis courts, a fronton and a bowling alley will complete your stay and satisfy the desires of the whole family.

Less than 20 kilometres from the village, the Soustons lake is a must for those who love nature, authenticity and nautical activities. To the north of the lake, the "Dinosaurs Parc" will be perfect for a playful and historical interlude, fantastic to do with the family, to walk in the footsteps of these giants covered in feathers and scales. But the main interest of the pond is its water level! If you are not a fan of aquatic activities, you can enjoy the lake while staying dry thanks to a walkway that will allow you to go around the lake on a loop that can be done on foot, by bike, on a scooter or in a stroller (a must!). A vast body of water nestled in the heart of the city, it is also the perfect place to stroll under the sun by the water, for a picnic, a reading or yoga interlude, a bike ride or a fishing trip. As for water sports, no motorized vehicles are allowed in order to preserve the birds, squirrels and pikes, but you can still go paddling, sailing or canoeing, depending on what you want. Finally, it is impossible to stay in Herm without a stopover in Dax to visit its thermal baths, or the beaches of Moliets-et-Maa! Surfing, dinners with your feet in the water, walks along the seafront towards the Huchet current, galupe walks in the eponymous Nature Reserve, swimming, jet skiing, waveskiing, bodyboarding and other activities for the whole family will complete this stay in the Landes.
