Villa on the heights of Hy?res, in the reserved and residential setting of Mont des Oiseaux. At the top of the hill, enjoy a breathtaking view of the Mediterranean Sea, the Presqu'?le de Giens and the Iles d'Or. Atypical gîte built into the hillside and surrounded by steps and rockeries, not suitable for young children or people with reduced mobility. 5 bedrooms, 3 parking spaces on the property. Access to the house is via outside stairs (more than 30 stone steps). Downstairs, access to the outdoor swimming pool via a wooden staircase, (3x7x1.20 m, alarm-protected) open from June to September, deckchairs and sunbeds, small shaded terrace on the kitchen side with side table. South-facing hanging terrace with sea view and garden furniture. At the top of the stairs, a first independent entrance to the lower part of the villa not communicating with the upper part, comprising a double bedroom with raised bed (160 cm bed) and wooden steps leading up to it, a bedroom with 2 single beds that can be converted into a double bed (90 cm beds), a shower room (shower/WC). External stairs lead up to the terrace on the upper level of the villa, equipped with an electric plancha. Entrance into the main room with fully-equipped kitchenette opening onto TV lounge and dining room, suspended wooden terrace with sea and pool views. Next to the living room, a lounge area with armchairs adjoins a double bedroom (bed 140) with en-suite shower room/WC. Up a modern staircase with openwork wooden steps: double bedroom (bed 140) with shower, washbasin, WC and mezzanine with 2 extra beds (90 cm). The location is superb and the view magnificent. However, the house could do with a serious "makeover". The shower in the lower part of the villa could not be used due to the constant leakage of the shower column and the non-closure of the poorly-adjusted sliding doors. The awning has apparently not been replaced and the parasol is unusable in strong winds. No broom inside, except for a brush and dustpan, which is rather inconvenient for daily cleaning. The sink in the bedroom adjoining the living room drains very slowly. Finally, the saucepan had not seen the sponge (I took a photo) and the vacuum cleaner, which we had to clean, was clogged with hair. In conclusion, I'm disappointed with this rental and the price paid for 14 days (7441.08€) seemed too excessive in view of the interior services.
