With its lantern over 100 metres above the sea, it is visible from 53 kilometres away. Another visit not to be missed under any pretext : Fort La Latte. Classified as a Historic Monument, it is one of the most visited castles in Brittany. Built in the 14th century, this magnificent feudal fortress built in pink sandstone is an amazing place, which will make you leap in time. With its drawbridge, its walls, its keep, its dungeons and its medieval garden, Fort La Latte is ideal for those looking for a little freshness in summer. A paradise for hikers, Fréhel is dotted with a multitude of itineraries for all levels. Via the GR34 (the famous "customs trail"), follow the coast to admire its sumptuous landscapes, changing to the rhythm of the tides and the seasons. 17 kilometres of marked tracks cross Fréhel and its commune of Plévenon, through rocks and coastal paths. Several hiking loops, ranging from 6 to 22 kilometres for the most sporty, will be appreciated by holidaymakers : from Cap Fréhel to Saint-Malo, passing by the mysterious Chaos du Gouet, Cap d'Erquy, Île de Bréhat, through the moors of Cap Fréhel, the cliffs and the ornithological reserve of La Fauconnière, the old quarries as well as the beaches of Fréhel and Sable d'Or les Pins, you will discover unique landscapes, inviting to contemplation and totally changing landscapes. Our good advice : to not miss any itinerary, remember to download on your phone the application "Rando Baie de St Brieuc" which will give you access to a multitude of circuits for young and old. Mountain bikers, Fréhel will make your happiness since the road-bike linking Brittany to Great Britain crosses the commune of Fréhel on more than 20 kilometres. Thanks to this green route, you can quickly connect some of the most beautiful sites in the region, from Cap d'Erquy to Cap Fréhel.
In terms of sporting activities, you can go horse riding on the beaches of Fréhel, but also fishing, diving, flyboarding, hoverboarding, towed buoys, kitesurfing, surfing and paragliding. For long relaxation breaks under the sun, the Anse du Croc beach is ideal. Offering one of the most beautiful views over Cap Fréhel, it is totally preserved and stretches over 800 metres along the GR34. Surrounded by dunes, rocks and maritime pines, this crescent-shaped beach is one of the most beautiful in Brittany. Children can collect a whole collection of shells and take advantage of the shallow waters to swim and play in the water. During the summer, you can even attend concerts with your feet in the water.

Beautiful walks, cycling. To see: Cap Fréhel, Fort la Latte, beautiful cities next to Les Sables d'Or like Erquy, Saint Cast le Guildo, the peninsula of Saint Jacut de la Mer, breathtaking landscapes, we are not far from the department of Ile et Vilaine so we can visit Saint Malo, Cancale, Dinard... and even a little further away at 45' le Mont Saint Michel...
