On Sandy Hill, in northern Finistère, is the charming seaside resort of Cléder. Authentic, sunny and sporty, this picturesque destination invites you to come and discover its many faces and shores, tinged with a thousand shades of blue.

A particularly mild climate, varied landscapes, a splendid coastline and a wide range of activities for all: Keeping all the cards in your hands to make you have a great holiday, with family or friends. First of all, take the time to visit the city and its surroundings on foot or by bike: from fertile moors to protected dunes, Cléder offers a wide range of panoramas, each one more beautiful than the next. The municipality has some architectural highlights, such as the Manoir de Tronjoly: nestled on the hillside, this 16th century manor impresses by the beauty of its interior courtyard and its architecture. Built in a flamboyant style, it has been on the list of Historic Monuments since 1981. Not far away, the Château de Kergournadeac'h is also worth a look: built during the 13th century, the castle, which was only a simple fortified mansion, was later transformed into a real castle. Although it is now in ruins, its imposing medieval towers are still worth a visit. Château de Kermenguy closes the list of the unbeatable of your stay: nicknamed the "Château des Légendes", this 13th century manor deserves a visit for the splendour of its architecture. To allow children and adults alike to immerse themselves in Breton myths, the current owners of the castle offer dragon hunts and treasure hunts, as well as fun activities ideal for family holidays.

Located in the heart of the Golden Belt, the town is renowned for its many early varieties: cauliflowers, artichokes, endives, shallots, potatoes from Batz Island, Roscoff onions and other tomatoes have a prominent place in most of the resort's good restaurants. Accompanied by fresh lobsters, sea bream, stuffed crab, roasted langoustines or freshly caught oysters, these local wonders will only be better. To perfect your culture in terms of Breton flavours, don't forget to try buckwheat cakes! They are to Brittany what pizzas are to Italy: inseparable!

And how to mention Cléder without mentioning its coastline? More particularly, its splendid beaches? Spread over more than 4 kilometres along the resort's rugged coastline, Cléder's beaches are adorned with numerous rock piles, each with surprising shapes. When observing them, use your imagination: here you will see an eagle, there a rhino, a turtle, a camel or a whale! In all, Cléder has about ten beaches, both sporting and family. Kerfissien beach will satisfy lovers of tranquility and authentic landscapes, as will the nearby cove of Porz Striz. The beach of "Ode an Deved" will delight lovers of fishing on foot, while the beach of Les Amiets will delight water sports aficionados. More than 1.5 kilometres long, it is the ideal place to practice activities such as surfing, paddle, sailing, kitesurfing or sea kayaking. The Amiets lookout, from the former Coast Guard house, is a dream spot for sunset fans: from this promontory, the view of the coast and the small houses along the Customs Path are really worth a look! You can reach it during hiking or cycling, since the town is crossed by many marked paths, and in particular by the famous GR34 which crosses the whole Breton coast.
