In the Bigouden country, 25 kilometres west of Quimper, Pouldreuzic takes place on the Finisterian coast. Along the splendid waters of the Atlantic coast, this charming little seaside resort has all the cards in hand to enable you to spend a wonderful holiday in Brittany.

Inhabited since the Bronze Age, Pouldreuzic developed during the Middle Ages, before becoming a popular seaside town just after the First World War and the arrival of the train in town. If it seduces holidaymakers so much, it is certainly for the beauty of its architecture. Several buildings are to be seen in the heart of the village, such as the church of Saint-Faron, built at the very beginning of the 17th century. With its flamboyant Gothic style glass roof, it is one of the oldest in the whole Bigouden country, and a visit to it is a must for any holidaymaker passing through Pouldreuzic. But the religious heritage of the town does not stop there, since during your strolls, you can discover the old treviale church, the church of Lababan (famous for its 13th century capitals), as well as the chapel Notre-Dame-de-Penhors, whose interior decorations impress the visitors.

After enjoying the peace and quiet of the town and the picturesque charm of its typically Breton old houses, set sail for the port of Pouldreuzic, which is also well worth a visit. Situated in the hamlet of Penhors, it is one of only two harbours in the whole of the magnificent bay of Audierne. On a human scale, it is a particularly popular place for holidaymakers passing through Pouldreuzic: living at the comings and goings of the sea, sailors and boats, it offers passers-by beautiful views of the open sea, and sunsets like no other. Just next to the port, the beach of Penhors will satisfy families looking for moments of relaxation under the sun, but also the most athletic. A popular spot for windsurfing, surfing and kitesurfing fans, this beach is the ideal place to come and enjoy the joys of water sports (or to admire surfers at their art!). It is lined with numerous terraces where you can sit down for a good meal with your feet in the water, and is bordered by the GR34 paths, which will allow hikers at heart to stroll along the Breton coast in complete tranquility, to enjoy the most beautiful panoramas.
