In the heart of the Médoc, right on the Atlantic coast, between sea and forests, Grayan-et-l'Hôpital is one of those little destinations that you wish you could keep just for yourself. Welcoming, dynamic and wide open to nature, this destination will charm holidaymakers looking for moments of sharing and walks in the great outdoors.

It is on the tip of the Médoc, just between Montalivet and Soulac-sur-Mer, that the small seaside resort of Grayan-et-l'Hôpital is located. Housed in the middle of a thick pine forest of more than 2800 hectares, a perfect Eden for hikers and mountain bikers who will find a wide range of cycling and walking routes, the commune of Grayan-et-l'Hôpital benefits from a wide, wide coastline, bordered by more than 7 kilometres of fine sandy beaches, ab-so-lu-ment par-fact to enjoy the various pleasures of seaside holidays. The sea is at the centre of everything here, and especially of the gastronomy; to discover all its secrets, head to one of the small restaurants in the town, to introduce you to the local flavours, rather iodised. Fish, hake, lamprey, but also sardines, eels, eel, eel or elvers will be served at all the good tables, accompanied by prawns, pork or lamb, with Médoc wines such as Château Lafitte, Château Margaux, Château Latour or the famous Château Mouton-Rothschild, so many appellations that will delight the taste buds of both novices and expert oenophiles. Médoc vine shoots and hazelnuts will finally delight sweet tooth visitors to Grayan-et-l'Hôpital.

After having succumbed to the delights of the perfumes of the local cuisine, a total of 19 kilometres of cycle routes will allow you to discover the whole town, in the direction of Verdon-sur-Mer, or the Lake of Hourtin situated a few kilometres further south. Sunday sports enthusiasts and adrenaline addicts will be able to take advantage of a wide range of activities in the resort and on the seaside: its golf practice will allow you to perfect your swing, while the thalassotherapy centre will offer you a relaxing break that is 100% well-being. You can opt for a fishing trip on the Barreyre ponds, play tennis, horse riding, basketball or volleyball, but also take surfing lessons from the Gurp beach and go scuba diving, sunbathing without any traces of your swimsuit on the beach of Euronat (naturist), but also swimming, sand castle contests, sailing, kitesurfing, water walking, hiking along the very intimate beach of La Négade, sending beautiful photos of the open sea to your colleagues at sunset...
