In the hollow of the bay of Coudrée, on the magnificent south shore of Lake Geneva, the village of Excenevex is situated at an altitude of 395 metres. Facing the Swiss coast and the Pre-Alps massif on which it offers incredible panoramas, this lakeside village is nestled between Yvoire and Thonon-les-Bains in the natural region of Chablais, the heart of the Greater Geneva agglomeration. If the local star is none other than the lakeside beach of Excenevex, take the time to visit the village to discover its beauty. During your wanderings, you will undoubtedly come across the old farms and houses that adorn Excenevex and give it a certain charm. You will also come across the Maison de la Tour, once a prison and then the seat of the court, as well as the old wash houses, not forgetting the astonishing lakeside church, renowned for its bell tower with its 24 bells. These bells can play more than a hundred melodies and their harmonious tinkling never fails to delight onlookers during their walks.

The only natural beach on Lake Geneva, the beach at Excenevex is perfect for family bathing thanks to its gentle slope and shallow waters, whose temperature is around 25 degrees during the summer. Hiking is also the main activity of Excenevex: along the shores of the lake, the dunes of Excenevex are known to shelter rare plants from Mediterranean Europe, as well as a good number of birds, especially during migration (Bonaparte's sandpipers, egrets, yellow-billed kites, terns, cormorants, ducks, teals...), which you can discover during your walks.
