A real gem in the heart of an abundant natural setting, the village of Quet-en-Beaumont is the ideal place to settle down, if you like greenery, adventure and preserved landscapes. 50 kilometers north of Gap and 55 kilometers south of Grenoble, Quet-en-Beaumont offers its visitors a dream setting to relax, between lakes and mountains.

Watered by the Drac river which outlines the village in its south, Quet-en-Beaumont is one of those places where one comes (and comes back!) to stay in order to find a little peace and serenity In the department of Isère, in the region of Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, this charming village is located in the heart of an environment all that is more favorable to the escape and to the parenthesis in the open air. Just north of Lac du Sautet, this rural village of less than 80 inhabitants (we told you it was a quiet destination!) is not known at first sight for the profusion of its listed buildings, but rather for its nature, with an indefinable beauty so breathtaking. The main asset of the village? The Gorges du Drac. In the heart of the cliffs which overhang a water which reminds the turquoise waters of the Verdon, the Drac is a real pearl lodged in a rocky case crossed by himalayan footbridges which will allow you to pass on one side as well as on the other of the river. Hiking is a real religion here, as well as climbing or via ferrata, two activities that will allow you to discover the unique beauty of the Gorges du Drac from the cliffs! Do you like hiking and the unique panoramas of the mountains? In winter as well as in summer, the hike to the top of the Chauvet, which overlooks the village of Quet-en-Beaumont from its 1705 meters of altitude, is really worth the detour, both for the beautiful and sporty climbs that it promises, but also for the wonderful views that it will allow you to contemplate on Quet-en-Beaumont, the rivers and the mountains that surround it.

. Our advice? Don't miss the Lac du Sautet, just south of Quet-en-Beaumont. With its turquoise waters sparkling in the sun, its wonderful mountains and its beaches of small clear pebbles, the Lac du Sautet offers a real postcard landscape to contemplate. Wild and authentic, preserved and intimate, this lake particularly appreciated by families offers a range of activities for all desires. You can swim there (supervised swimming in summer), go via ferrata on the side of the Barrage du Sautet or do a tyrolean traverse (guaranteed sensations!), opt for a tour of the lake by boat or kayak, paddle or pedal boat, but also take a walk on the banks of the lake, have a picnic with a magnificent view of the Grande Tête de l'Obiou (highest point of the Dévoluy, perched at 2789 meters above sea level) and the lake... In short, what a great way to spend an unforgettable sporty and quiet vacation in the heart of Isère!
