We could use a break, couldn't you? A "cocooning" well-being break, to escape from the ambient stress and give morale that little spark to start the year off on the right foot... For that, there's a solution: book your holidays on Locasun, pack your suitcases, slip in a swimsuit and a good book and off you go to Dax! With 12 thermal establishments, Dax, a renowned spa resort, is THE first thermal town in France with more than 50,000 visitors each year. Thanks to its waters and mud with healing virtues recognized since antiquity (that is to say!), the reputation of Dax as the capital of well-being is well established. Phlebology, rheumatology, here, many are the traumas and other affections treated during cures, or targeted care. Beauty spa-massages, but also aquatic fitness areas and other massage sessions will plunge you into a bubble of softness from which you will leave soothed, no doubt about it!

In addition to being a real paradise for thermal cures, Dax is also a large green bubble, which multiplies the shady alleyways, parks and other perfect places to recharge your batteries. Our advice: take the time to stroll through the heart of Dax, through its pedestrian and shopping streets. You will then discover the Notre-Dame Cathedral, built in an astonishing neo-Greek classical style from the mid 17th century. The Portal of the Apostles of the cathedral, but also the church Saint-Vincent-de-Xaintes will complete your discoveries of the religious heritage of Dax. A heritage to which is added a large Gallo-Roman heritage, which you can discover by visiting the archaeological crypt, the Museum of Borda, without forgetting the ramparts that have surrounded the city since the 4th century. With its gates and footbridges, this fortified Gallo-Roman wall will offer you beautiful views of the city from its terraces. Another period marked Dax: the 1920s. This is why today, in addition to its thermal baths, Dax still has an incredible Art-Deco heritage, which you can discover in the Atrium Casino, its town centre mansions, and the Splendid Hotel which impresses with the splendour of its spa (which has a large pool housed under 7 metres of ceiling) and its elegant rooms. After strolling along the Remarkable Garden of the Sarrat, the Théodore Denis Park and the banks of the Adour River which waters the entire city to the north, take time for a gourmet break. If the sweet tooth will enjoy the famous Dax madeleines and brioche "pastis", the savoury tooth will be able to taste duck breasts, foie gras, confits, salmis de palombes, and other salads from the Landes for a perfect immersion in the traditions of the country.

Every year, around August 15th, the Dacquois and the Aoûtiens take communion for 5 days of fiesta at the time of the Féria de Dax. In the arenas but also throughout the city, bullfighting shows, parades of bandas, exhibitions, concerts, fireworks and other fun activities for the whole family are going well!
