From Piriac-sur-Mer to Moutiers-en-Retz, Loire-Atlantique invites you to discover the diversity of its coastline. In Nantes, discover the fabulous heritage which recalls the rich past of the city: the castle of the Dukes of Brittany, the cathedral of Saint-Pierre and Saint-Paul, the passage Pommeraye... Also wander the medieval quarter of Bouffay, , Royale and Commerce then head to the island of Nantes to marvel at its impressive machines and its giant elephant. Then come to Saint-Nazaire to appreciate its historical and industrial heritage : the dolmen of the Three Stones, the Escal'Atlantic, the shipyards, the submarine Espadon, the Ecomusée...
During your holidays, you can also take advantage of the many hiking trails and bike paths to enjoy the natural beauty of the Loire-Atlantique. On foot, walk along the paths of the nature park of Brière, go around the lake of Grand-Lieu or take the path of the Douaniers. By bike, join the towpath of the Canal from Nantes to Brest or along the Loire between Ancenis and its mouth. During these walks, make a few stops to visit the castles of Clisson, Ranrouët and Châteaubriant, the area of La Garenne Lemot or the pretty villages of Oudon, Prigny or Trentemoult. Make also gastronomic breaks to savor the flavors of the soil : seafood and fish, white butter, salt of Guérande, muscadet...
