It is just next to Vannes, at the doors of the Nature Reserve of the Marshes of Séné and the clear waters of the Gulf of Morbihan, that the commune of Theix is located. Although it is not directly on the seaside, the city of Theix is undoubtedly turned towards water: it is indeed crossed by a whole bunch of rivers, like the brook of Clérigo and that of Gorvello, those of Plessis, Kerandrun, Bizole, Talhouët or that of the pond of Bonnervo, all feeding the Gulf of Morbihan. Destination at the crossroads between the area starting from the agglomeration of Vannes and the Presqu'île de Rhuys, Theix is known for its beautiful heritage. To see? The Château du Plessis-Josso! A large fortified manor from the 14th and 15th centuries, it reveals thick ramparts, but also beautiful kitchens, a large hall, a ceremonial room and decorations that you can discover during visits in the summer season or on the occasion of concerts and exhibitions. The 17th century chapels of Saint-Joseph, Saint-Michel, Saint-Roch and Sainte-Barbe, as well as the chapel of Notre-Dame-la-Blanche are worth discovering, as are the many pardons and other celebrations that they host throughout the year. The cross in the cemetery, the 18th century fountain, the Guéhec fountain and the 16th century tide mill will complete the visit of Theix.

Also take the time to stroll through the hamlet of Gorvello: beautifully flowered, it is worth the detour for its buildings! The maritime site of Kerentré is also worth a visit: located on the road to Sarzeau, just before the Noyalo bridge, this place, as if frozen in time, is a paradise of biodiversity, which will delight birdwatchers! You can observe many species of birds, sedentary and migratory, at different times of the year! And the Brural park, how can we not mention it? Built on a vast wooded area, this leisure park on the water's edge offers a perfect setting to relax in peace. You can go for a walk, have a picnic, or even go fishing as you wish! Finally, in the area, there are many places to visit: Vannes and its old town, which is very cultural, but also Séné and its beaches, Saint-Armel, Arzon, l'Île-d'Arz and l'Île-aux-Moines will be perfect places for idleness, swimming and water activities under the Brittany sun.
