Canet Plage, the flagship resort of the Mediterranean coast, is a privileged holiday resort. From April to October, you can spend time in the "beach areas" which provide volleyball, soccer, tennis and even fitness areas. After a few hours of relaxation on the beach, take the signposted circuits that criss-cross the resort on foot or by bike. They will notably allow you to join and discover the Old Village and its extraordinary heritage. Walking its winding streets, you will appreciate the traditional stone houses, the Viscomtal castle, dating from the eleventh century and listed as a historical monument, and the Gothic church of St. James with its beautiful bell tower made of local red bricks. But other paths will lead you towards the other curiosities of the resort : the Canet pond, the arboretum, the aquarium and the vineyards where many estates will make you taste their delicious productions.
Also take advantage of your stay at Canet Plage to offer you some escapades. In Perpignan, admire the castle of the kings of Majorca, the Castillet, the Sea Lodge and the Saint-Jean-Baptiste cathedral. Then follow the coast towards Spain to discover Collioure and its royal castle, Banyuls-sur-Mer and its Romanesque church of the Rectorie, Cerbère and its lighthouse at the end of the world. Back at Canet Plage, sit on the terrace of a restaurant facing the Mediterranean and enjoy all the flavours of Catalan specialities : anchovies from Collioure, lobster stew, trinchat, Catalan spinach, Catalan cream...

To recommend: the restaurant "Le Nossiub" with its musical evenings. "La Cave": friendly, pleasant, friendly restaurant, and very good tapas and good wines to accompany it. Musical evenings all the time, holidays, and other bars and restaurants to discover.
