Whether to recharge your batteries in the middle of nature or to exceed your limits during sporting activities, the Pyrénées Orientales are the ideal holiday destination for you. In particular : "Pyrenees 2000", winter sports resort located in the town of Bolquère, which awaits you in summer as well as in winter, with family or friends, to fully enjoy the mountain and its many assets !
The charm of Bolquère will make you crack. Between its stone houses and its narrow streets, this village inspired by the mountain spirit does not lack animations whatever the season. During the winter, its ski area inevitably becomes the main attraction. About forty kilometres of slopes, a snowpark, snowshoeing areas: everything winter sports enthusiasts dream of. From the top of the slopes, breathtaking landscapes are the joy of skiers.
At nightfall, come and warm up by the fireplace of the restaurant Lassus. Its typical and warm setting will make you feel at home. On the menu : authentic cuisine made with local products to discover the many flavours of the mountain. And to finish off your winter evenings, go to l'Elan ! A very nice place to play bowling (10 tracks at your disposal) and, as a bonus, a bar where you can enjoy a good mulled wine or homemade chocolate and enjoy its giant screen broadcasting live the biggest sports competitions.
During the summer months, another face of the resort is revealed. Under a sun almost always present, one leaves to the discovery of the green nature in excursions, or one benefits from the multiple sports within reach. For the youngest, the leisure centre welcomes 6-12 year olds during school holidays with a programme of sports activities and treasure hunts, circus arts, competition courses... The older ones will go to the sports complex where it is possible to play tennis, badminton, basketball, football, weight training, accrobranche... the choice is impressive.
Just 20 kilometres from Spain, the village continues the traditions of its Catalan neighbours, whose proximity has strongly marked the region. During the summer season, he wears the colours of Catalonia for folk dances and a Festa Catalana that will take you beyond the borders !
