Linked to the largest ski area in the world, "Les 3 Vallées", Saint Martin de Belleville is a destination of choice for lovers of skiing and snowy landscapes. Its authentic side, its small wooden chalets nestled in the hollow of the mountains and its thick snowy coats give it a very particular charm.
Dominated by its steeple and dotted with narrow streets, Saint-Martin is a family resort where life is good. Known by skiers for its 600 kilometres of slopes and the quality of its equipment, Saint Martin welcomes many holidaymakers every year. The resort has 28 kilometres of cross-country ski runs, 81 runs including 8 black runs for experienced skiers, children's clubs and several play areas (snowpark, speed and slalom area). You will have understood it, this resort has enough to seduce all the winter sports lovers !
Perched at an altitude of 1450 metres in the Vallée des Belleville, Saint Martin offers holidaymakers a very wide range of activities in addition to skiing : sledding, torchlight descents, paragliding and via ferrata (in summer), horse riding, ULM, but also sledging and freeriding will be at the heart of your sporting holidays. Trek the mountain on foot, snowshoe or mountain bike, and take the ski lifts to enjoy the snow-capped peaks. From these heights, enjoy the panoramic view and breathe in a breath of fresh air before heading down the slopes.
Hiking enthusiasts can enjoy more than 50 marked itineraries through the Belleville Valley. During these walks, you will certainly discover superb mountain lakes with transparent waters, like Lake Lou, from which you will perhaps have the chance to see marmots or even chamois.
For moments of relaxation, know that two spas are located within the resort : the spa "Ô des Cimes" and the spa "La Bèla Vya", located in the hotel "La Bouitte". On the program : face or body treatments, spa, swimming pool, hammam, sauna and jacuzzis... Ideal activities to relax after long hours spent walking the mountain and ski slopes.
Walk through the village of Saint-Martin, and walk to the Sanctuary of Our Lady of Life. Don't rely on the apparent exterior sobriety of this 17th century monument: push its door and you will be able to admire its baroque and colourful decorations as well as its frescoes decorated with gilding. This church hosts numerous concerts throughout the year, such as the "Rendez-vous Musicaux de Belleville", during which you can come and listen to musical groups from all over the world.
Finally, the city is famous for its tasty addresses : do not miss "La Bouitte" which was the very first restaurant in Savoie to be awarded 3 stars in the Michelin guide, but also "Le Montagnard", whose sunny terrace overlooks the village. Saint Martin being famous for its gourmet cuisine, you can enjoy fondues, racclettes, crozets, polentas and local charcuteries, all of which will warm you up in cool temperatures.
