In the department of Seine-Maritime, in Normandy, Muchedent is the perfect place to put down your suitcases for a family holiday. Between wolves and bisons, hiking and canoeing, this charming village has all the cards in hand to make your holiday an unforgettable moment of culture and discovery.

Along the Varenne river, which irrigates it from one end to the other, Muchedent is located in the north of the Eawy Forest, about twenty kilometres south of the beaches of Dieppe. Nestled in the heart of the Varenne valley, this quiet rural village has less than 130 inhabitants. And it is for its tranquility and its green setting that Muchedent is the ideal place for a family holiday. Here, it is good to stroll and take your time; during your stay, you can discover the church of Saint-Pierre, classified as a Historic Monument, which is worth a visit for its Renaissance altarpieces of carved wood, its wooden statues from the 15th and 16th centuries, or for its 16th century bell tower. As for the buildings, two sites (although private) are to be seen in the commune, namely the Manor of Muchedent built during the 16th century, or the Priory of Pubel.

But the major asset of Muchedent is its incredible Canadian Park. Divided into three parks, the Bison Dream Park, the Wolf Park and the Canoeing Park, the Canadian Park unfolds woods as far as the eye can see, spread out over plains and green valleys of nearly 120 hectares. A vast area where the largest bison farm in France flourishes, but where young and old alike can also discover hinds, fallow deer and stags through educational visits, climbing into military trucks. As for the wolves, they can be discovered during a walking tour in the forest, and if you are lucky enough to stay at Muchedent between May and June, you may have the privilege of discovering the park's little cubs! As for the canoe park, you can take the family or your friends for a quiet ride on the Varenne, a one hour trip downhill followed by a return bike ride in the heart of the countryside.

Finally, the other advantage of Muchedent is that it is only about twenty kilometres from Dieppe. Dieppe, the star of the Côte d'Albâtre, has an absolutely splendid beach, just at the foot of the cliffs, which stretches for nearly 2 kilometres. Walking along the seafront, cycling along the cycle path, dining with your feet in the water, relaxing on the pebble beach, swimming, surfing, fishing, sailing, optimist, fun-boat or paddle excursions will complete your stay in Normandy.
