The coast of Bretignolles sur Mer is distinguished by the great variety of its beaches. If you want to please your children, go to the Marais Girard which hosts a beach club or on the Normandelière beach where there is a nautical base. Then admire the exterior of the Château de Beaumarchais, the most beautiful building in Bretignolles sur Mer, built in the 16th century and listed as a historic monument. Nearby, discover the Calvary of the Cross David then join the coast to see the rock Sainte Véronique, high natural monolith, and the Red Stone of the Marais Girard, deposit of red quartz measuring nearly 5 meters.
Bretignolles sur Mer is criss-crossed by numerous hiking and cycling paths and also invites you to discover its territory while playing sports. During your walks, take the time to admire the dolmen of the Pierre Levée, classified as a historical monument, and to appreciate the dunes of La Sauzaie-Le Jaunay, classified Natura 2000 for its extraordinary fauna and flora. But also offer yourself a trip back in time by visiting Vendée Miniatures, one of the most beautiful miniature villages in France that recreates the atmosphere of a village at the beginning of the 20th century. At the end of the day, treat yourself to a good meal featuring local products : lobsters, lobsters, oysters, mogettes, ham, prepuffy, buns, Vendée wines...

This rental is very practical when there are children downtown is not great we went a lot to Saint-Jean-de-Monts because on Bretignolles there is not much to do except the beach

2 good tables in Brétignolles: "L'Anse des Ilots" (by the sea) and "Le Bistrot des Halles" (1 rue des Halles). It is better to book. To reserve bikes: "L'Annexe" (119 rue du Marais Girard).

The restaurant "L'Anse des îlots": very good seafood. Bicycle recommended. Watch the tides because at tide 95 and higher, the beaches are absorbed by the sea.

Small restaurant, with a dance hall on Friday evening, very nice, warm welcome which is called "L'Entracte" in Saint Gilles Croix de Vie. Easy parking (large surface parking opposite). Nice atmosphere and we ate very, very well.

We visited the zoo of Les Sables which was very good. The animals are close enough for us to see them. Les remblais des Sables d'Olonne in the evening. I recommend the Italian restaurant "La Mama", there is often waiting but we eat very well there.

City Hall Resto-Bar: simple and very good value for money. Restaurant "Anses des Îlots": good menu and beautiful sea view. Visit of St Gilles Croix de Vie nearby.
