La Tranche-sur-Mer is located in the Vendée department on the Côte de Lumière. It faces the island of Ré. Its 13 km of fine sandy beaches are dotted with an aquatic center, several surf spots and a body of water reserved for initiation to sailing. One can even practice fishing on foot to harvest among other scallops, clams and crabs. La Tranche-sur-Mer is also characterized by its succession of exceptional sites for practicing water sports : surfing, kitesurfing, chariot and windsurfing...
If you turn inland, you can enjoy the many hiking trails that crisscross the coastal dunes and the many forests. A course of health and nature has even been built around the perimeter of the Games Plain of the Fond du Mourat. The 20 km of bike paths contribute equally to the enhancement of these extraordinary landscapes, notably the Vélodyssée route which clears its way through the great forest of Longueville and is twice approaching the sea.
If nature occupies a central place in La Tranche-sur-Mer, the resort also knows how to take advantage of more urban leisure activities such as fairgrounds and amusement parks. Many holidaymakers decide to spend a lively night at Adventure Park. Take a ride, enjoy a cotton candy or love apples, or practice duck fishing : these small pleasures are accessible only a few cables from La Tranche-sur-Mer.
But a visit of the locality would not be complete without a brief passage through the Atlantic Wake Park. Reserved for gliding lovers, this exceptional tourist site offers an unusual attraction. It is the great nautical ski lift of Vendée. Steps and other spectacular installations are installed on the water to give birth to a real scenic performance animated by professionals.

The restaurant "Pizzarico" is open late by holidaymakers who arrive late on site. Moreover, the pizzas are very well topped and excellent. Caddy Love Confectionery is perfect for the youngest snack. The churros and waffles are excellent.

During the high season, free buses run throughout the resort, with a good frequency until late at night, especially the "Wave Beach", a little far away but the only one valid for surfing and other activities in the waves.

Don't miss the "Basket of Augustus", a hut-style restaurant. A friendly welcome, no fuss. Very good seafood, very fresh, delicious plancha mussels, all for a very fair price. Service a little long, however.

From April 11 to 22, the vacations will be sporty in La Tranche-sur-Mer! On the program? Fencing, laser game, paddle, accrobranche, bowling, photo rally and many other activities that will delight your children! Limited number of places, on registration. Some activities are free, others are between 6 and 12€ per child.
