In the heart of the eponymous province, Florence is certainly one of the most beautiful cities in Europe. But also go to Sesto Fiorentino to admire the fabulous Etruscan tomb of the Montagnola, to Barberino di Mugello to see the Cattani castle and the Pretorio palace or to Empoli for the collegiate church of Sant'Andrea. You can also explore the beautiful landscapes of the Valdelsa where wooded hills, vineyards, olive groves, cypress paths and historic villages such as Castelfirentino, Montaione or Gambassi Terme.
To the south of Florence, another legendary region is one of the province's highlights : Chianti. With its vineyards, medieval villages and hilly landscapes, this wine-growing soil will delight lovers of hiking and good wines. In Greve in Chianti, one of the most beautiful villages in this rural territory, enjoy the triangular market square, the church of Santa Croce and, if you are visiting in September, attend the largest wine event dedicated to Chianti Classico. The village is quiet and authentic, few tourists. You should visit the knife factories and taste an ice cream with gel material, they are excellent.
