In the Algavre region of Portugal, Albufeira is a new Eldorado for holidaymakers looking for a holiday under the sun. Formerly a fishing village that has become a major tourist attraction in recent years, Albufeira owes its popularity to its splendid beaches, but also and above all to its dynamic side and lively nightlife. The commune is indeed reputed to be the most festive destination in the whole of the Algavre, attracting more and more holidaymakers every year in search of an unforgettable holiday. Feel like partying? Direction "The Strip", the newest district of Albufeira. This street, full of karaoke bars and other nightclubs is "the place to be" for all night owls and dancefloor lovers.

Although it has an undeniable festive side, the resort of Albufeira remains above all a family destination, thanks to its numerous infrastructures for all ages. Thus, amusement parks (such as Slide and Splash, Crazy World, Parque Aventura...) and water parks (Aqualand, Aquashow...) will undoubtedly delight young and old alike. The Zoomarine is a must-see during your stay: located just a few minutes drive from Albufeira town centre, this marine theme park will win over young and old alike thanks to its dolphin and seal shows, its huge aquarium, its wave pool, its numerous rides... You'll even be able to swim with dolphins!

Take the time to stroll through the old town of Albufeira: here the streets are paved, decorated with off-white, winding tiles, studded with old white houses with blue windows, in front of which grow incredible shrubs with pink and red flowers, which contrast marvellously with the landscape and give Albufeira the air of a postcard village. Pass by the Jardim Publico for a coffee on the terrace, admire the Igreja Matriz de Albufeira, and take a trip to the Igreja de Sant'Ana at the top of the city, famous both for its Iberian architecture and for its views over the whole city and the ocean below. Another belvedere that is particularly recommended is the Pau da Bandeira Viewpoint, which from its promontory offers an incomparable panorama of the entire city.

The other trump card in the Albufeira sleeve: its wonderful coastline. Whether you're looking for peace and quiet, enjoy water activities or are an adventurer of the seas, you're bound to find what you're looking for. Opt for a sea cruise to meet dolphins, swim on the famous Praia Azul famous for its crystal clear waters and small parasols, admire the sunset from the Praia da Falesia known for its ochre-coloured cliffs, sunbathe on the magnificent Praia de Sao Rafael, take a kayak trip along the beaches of Albufeira, take a boat cruise to the extraordinary caves of Benagil, learn to speedboat, jet-ski or dive...
