Sun, beaches, but also an immense historical and cultural heritage: this is what awaits you if you decide to fly to Telde. Located in the west of the island of Gran Canaria, in the Canary Islands, the municipality definitely has everything to please.

What stands out when visiting Telde is above all its important historical capital. Its archaeological remains are one of its most beautiful jewels: Tara, Cendro, Baladero, Tufia and Cuatro Puertas are among its most famous archaeological sites. The latter in particular is really worth a visit: on this occasion, you can discover a site made up of several impressive caves, which will allow you to plunge into history, from the time when Telde was still a kingdom (14th century). Perched on the Bermeja mountain, about twenty minutes walk from the city centre, this majestic site promises magnificent panoramic views of the eastern plain and the blue sea. The old town of Telde is also worth a visit: stroll through its San Gregorio district, in the San Juan district, around the San Juan Bautista church, the San Francisco Temple, the Plaza Mayor, and finally head towards the San Francisco district. Take its small winding streets dotted with beautiful whitewashed houses typical of Canary Islands villages, then climb up to the square in front of the Santa Maria altarpiece and enjoy the view.

If there is another site to see absolutely in Telde, it is the Bufadero de la Garita: located by the sea, this amazing natural phenomenon is one of the island's greatest attractions. Sometimes called "blower hole" or "maritime geyser", it results from the movement of the strong waves that swirl on the rocks (with surprising shapes) that line the Telde coast. In addition to being able to observe this geyser in Telde, you can also see it by going to Hawaii, Kiama in Australia or Tahiti.

The coast of Telde is certainly its most beautiful asset: long, surprising, mysterious or secret, the beaches of the town will not leave you insensitive. At the foot of the cliffs, while walking, you can find many small coves of volcanic sand or fine sand. From the bay of Gando to the beach of San Borondon, on the beaches of Melenara, Tufia, Salinetas or La Garita, you will inevitably find your happiness facing the blue ocean. As for water sports, in addition to swimming and long breaks of idleness under the Spanish sun, you can practice a wide range of sliding sports: surfing, sailing, paddle, bodyboarding, kitesurfing, towed buoys... There will be something for every desire and every budget.

Finally, the local cuisine deserves your full attention: in the heart of the city or on the seaside, you will find many restaurants and other bars where you can learn about the flavours of island cuisine. On the menu? Fried longorones, grilled mullets, soncocho, gofio paella, mojo rojo or verde, soups, fish soup, rabbit in vinaigrette, octopus, mussels, berries, but also bienmesabe, huevos mole, queso de flor, snails, ropa vieja, polvito araguayo and dishes made with olive oil are some of the highlights of Canarian cuisine, to be enjoyed without restraint during your stay in Telde !
