Now attached to the commune of Audierne, Esquibien flourishes at the foot of its hill, above the Goyen estuary. In the south of Finistère, this small quiet village has the particularity to multiply invitations to wonder thanks to its splendid panoramas. To see on the heritage side? The barred spur of Suguensou occupied from Gallo-Roman times, but also the 16th century Saint-Onneau church, the Sainte-Edwette chapel, the Sainte-Brigitte chapel, or the 19th century Manor House built in neo-Breton style. In addition to these places and monuments, there are no less than 25 fountains, 30 washhouses and 16 calvaries scattered here and there throughout the city. Also worth seeing are the canons of the Pointe de Pen-Enez which offer hikers of the GR34 incredible panoramas of the coast and the open sea. On the sea side, Esquibien has 4 kilometres of beaches and cliffs that border the clear waters of the Atlantic Ocean. As far as hiking is concerned, you will find many itineraries through the village to visit, but also marked trails for mountain bikes, walkers and horse riders, in the direction of the Pointe de Lervily, Penn an Enez, Anse du Cabestan, Audierne and its bay, Cap Sizun and the Pointe du Raz. The Pointe du Raz, a great site in France, is Brittany in its purest state, wind in its hair, cliffs cut by the force of the waves, hiking that climbs, rain, sun, the 4 seasons in one day, all offering the lucky visitors incomparable panoramas on the open sea, worthy of the most beautiful postcards of the region.

Wide open to the sea, Esquibien is also a small marina, which, in addition to accommodating 120 moored boats, leads vacationers passing through the village in the direction of Ile de Sein located 7 kilometers off the Pointe du Raz. A paradise of tranquillity in the heart of the ocean, with its colourful moors, old fishermen's houses, long beaches, lighthouse and dolphins swimming in the sea, the Ile de Sein is a real paradise for lovers of tranquillity!

Finally, a stay in Esquibien would not be perfect without an enchanting break on its beaches. The Capucins beach, those of Pors Péré, Trez, Pouldu beach or Sainte-Evette will be ideal for swimming and relaxing breaks under the sun. Beach volleyball, beach soccer, without forgetting the water activities from the Capucins beach (paddle, canoe, kayak, windsurfing...) will complete your stay in Esquibien!
