Located at the tip of Southern Brittany on the Cornwall coast, the seaside resort of Bénodet is renowned among sailing and water sports enthusiasts. Both a marina and a human-sized village, Bénodet is the ideal destination for a 100% natural holiday at the rhythm of the waves.
Appreciated by families for its welcoming character, this 5-star resort, nestled facing the Glénan archipelago, offers a wide range of activities for all ages and budgets. With the presence of the sea and the river Odet (most beautiful river in France), Bénodet is undeniably the resort of water sports aficionados. Take a kayak up the Odet to Quimper (15 kilometres away) : during this walk, you will discover the cliffs, the legendary rock of the "Saut de la Pucelle", the woods and the beautifully preserved castles that line the shore. On the coastal side, Bénodet has a multitude of beaches on which you can relax for many hours. The Trez is the main station : 600 meters long, this cove of fine sand is located just next to the river Odet. You will find inflatable structures for children as well as the Casino and the thalassotherapy centre of Bénodet, but also a nautical centre. South of Bénodet is the beach of Saint Gilles. Famous for fishing for shellfish and shrimps, this small cove scattered with rocks and facing due south is relatively little frequented : it is the ideal place for afternoons of idleness in peace. Right next door, Letty beach is a rather atypical place. This superbly preserved lagoon is nicknamed "The White Sea" : its singular beauty will certainly make you want to make a few fathoms. If you have the opportunity to observe it from the sky (when flying over the bay in a helicopter for example), do not forget your camera : the spectacle of turquoise water mixing with sand is absolutely magnificent. The Coq beach is ideal for the little ones, because of its shallow waters and kindergartens nearby.
In terms of sporting activities, surfing, kitesurfing, sailing, catamaran and paddle courses are offered during the summer on the city's various beaches. You can also offer yourself a jet-ski baptism, or rent a boat in one of the two ports of Bénodet, for a day trip at sea... In short, you'll have plenty to choose from to occupy your afternoons! If you are rather fond of walks, know that there are many hikes in Bénodet : the resort is notably crossed by the famous GR 34, which will allow you to discover its sumptuous coastal panoramas.
After these long busy days, take the time to relax at the Relais Thalasso de Bénodet : jacuzzi, hammam, sauna, massages and body care will allow you a total disconnection, necessary to fully enjoy your holidays.
Finally, after having taken the time to observe the sunset on the coast, sit down to taste the local specialties ! Fresh fish, mussels, buckwheat pancakes, Breton pucks, salted butter caramel... enough to make more than one gourmet salivate ! Avoid the beachfront restaurant. Nice view but covid cleanliness not respected. No disinfection of tables and chairs between 2 customers. Payment without contact it is the waiter who takes your CB. Otherwise beautiful station.

The restaurant "Le Transat" on Benodet was very good! We were very well served and ate very well. The old town of Concarneau and its various shops is a must. We also went to the Aven Parc! This park is very well made for children and even my 2 and a half year old daughter had a great time at the farm, in the games adapted to her age and in the maze looking for dinosaurs!

Take the shuttle to go in front: there is a pancake shop next to the "pink house" to "fall". As for Bénodet, it is a pity that there is not a real "centre" with grouped stores. But the waffle next to the casino is well worth a 15-minute queue.
