The village of Plonévez-Porzay is located in the southern part of the Finistère department. A Breton commune close to Locronan, a few steps away from Douarnenez whose bay irrigates its lands, Plonévez-Porzay is a real treasure. In the heart of the Breton Cornouaille, this village is bounded to the north by the ancient volcano of Menez-Hom and to the south by the Bois Nevet. It is bordered to the east by the course of the Stéïr river, and to the west by the sea. A successful marriage between land and sea, between authenticity and dynamism, Plonévez-Porzay unfolds kilometers of moorland and green countryside where hikers and mountain bikers will delight in the view. As far as architectural heritage is concerned, you will discover during your walks through the village many elegant manors, such as the 17th century Manor of Moëlen, and those of Kergonnec and Roz Trefeuntec. As far as religious heritage is concerned, don't miss the church of Saint-Milliau, the chapel of Sainte-Anne-la-Palud, or the 17th century chapel of La Clarté. Our advice ? From the chapel of Sainte-Marie du Menez-Hom, take the small footpath to climb the ancient volcano and discover from its top an absolutely crazy panorama on the bay of Douarnenez, but also the harbor of Brest not far away and the plain of Porzay studded with numerous churches and bell towers. Another point of view is particularly worth the detour: the Pointe de Tréfeuntec ! Adored by hikers but also by paragliding enthusiasts, this place on the seaside offers a breathtaking view of the bay of Douarnenez but also of the cliffs of the Crozon peninsula.

On the beach side, lovers of nautical activities and seaside breaks will discover two beautiful stretches of land where they can plant their umbrella in Plonévez Porzay. If the beach of Sainte-Anne is more wild, with its large dune line and its bar, the one of Kervel will make the happiness of the sportsmen. Surrounded by cliffs, this beach near Douarnenez is a wonderful spot for paragliding and water sports such as windsurfing, surfing, kayaking, sand yachting and kitesurfing! Swimming, picnics with your feet in the water, walks with your feet in the water, excursions to the Crozon peninsula and lazy breaks by the water will complete this stay in Brittany.
