Ah, Dragey-Ronthon, it's so nice to live here! A quiet village, created in 1979 from the merger of Dragey and Ronthon, Dragey-Ronthon is a coastal town full of charm, housed in a perfect setting for stays in harmony with nature. The village owes its history to its close link with Mont-Saint-Michel and the sea. With fishing on foot more precisely, which is for the inhabitants of the village as well as for its visitors, an institution and an almost obligatory passage to discover the splendid wealth of the coast. The best advice we could give you is to leave your car aside and to prefer to travel on foot or by bike during your stay. Thus, you will be able to discover the heart of the village and its two churches, its manor of Brion (an old priory of the XIVth century) and its manor of Potrel of the XVIIth century, but especially, to marvel at the astonishing beauty of the coast which borders Dragey-Ronthon. Main treasure of the town, the dunes of Dragey are one of the last wetlands on the outskirts of the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel. Spread out along a vast 5-kilometre-long dune belt between the Pignochet beach and the Bec d'Andaine, these splendid dunes are a vast playground for hiking and nature lovers who can enjoy breathtaking landscapes overlooking the open sea and the Mont-Saint-Michel! Another recommendation: follow the GR223 itineraries to discover the Normandy coast from one side to the other, routes which will not fail to take you north towards Jullouville, Saint-Pair-sur-Mer and Granville, as well as Courtils, Le Mont-Saint-Michel and the Breton border to the south! Renowned as an adventure paradise, Dragey-Ronthon is also the perfect place to stay if you enjoy horse riding. Whether on horseback or on foot, you can opt from the village to cross the Bay of Mont-Saint-Michel for an unforgettable ride through the marshes!
