Facing the bay of Robert, known to be one of the most breathtaking in Martinique, Le Robert is like a perfect seaside village where everyone dreams of dropping anchor. With its paradisiacal islands, fine sandy beaches and unspoilt wildlife, Le Robert will win the hearts of many holidaymakers.

The third largest city in Martinique by population, Le Robert, bordered by the Atlantic coast, makes holidaymakers dream thanks to the splendour of its waters. Before heading towards the sea, take time to stroll through the heart of the village: you can admire its blue and white church (Sainte-Rose de Lima), its colourful town hall, its seaside fountain, its 19th century sugar houses and its small typical houses on the island. Also pass early in the morning through the covered market before heading towards the Marina du Robert to admire the boats moored there.

The Robert's main asset? His bay. Breathtakingly beautiful, it is home to several islets renowned for their resolutely paradisiacal white bottoms. Perfect for a trip with family or friends, the islets are the Robert's main attraction. You can access it by sea kayak, skiff, catamaran or by climbing aboard a small boat. A total of 10 islands make up these islets, including Petite Martinique, Île aux Rats, Île à Eau, Île Madame and Île Chancel. Particularly popular with visitors, Chancel islet accessible from Pointe Savane is home to a very large colony of Lesser Antilles iguanas, as well as abundant vegetation made mainly of fragrant frangipani trees. The Islet Madame is also worth seeing: with its white background, its extraordinary beach, its blue lagoon and its coral reef, this island is a real postcard setting on its own. You can swim in its turquoise water, hike there, or go scuba diving to discover the preserved beauty of its seabed dotted with exotic and colourful fish. Do you dream of idle breaks alone on an island? Then Loup-Garou islet is for you: an immense white sandy beach, this absolutely magnificent islet is certainly one of the most beautiful islands in Robert Bay. It is also an idyllic place where visitors can enjoy many water sports, such as windsurfing, kitesurfing, sailing and kayaking.

Hiking enthusiasts? The Robert is for you, no doubt. With its seafront dotted with hiking trails, the village is particularly suitable for hiking excursions. From Pointe de Larose to Pointe Jean-Claude, you can enjoy incomparable views of the ocean and the islets offshore. Finally, Pothau Wood is also worth a visit, with its 268 hectares of forest by the sea: you will find several walking trails for all levels, with long quiet breaks on the fine (oh so magnificent) sand of Banana Point at the end of a path through the mangrove swamp.
