30 kilometres south of Vannes, Damgan is not far from the border with the Loire-Atlantique region, and a short distance from the wonderful Gulf of Morbihan. In the Regional Natural Park of the Gulf of Morbihan, this charming seaside resort has what it takes to make many hearts beat faster. Well-known since the middle of the 20th century, the seaside resort of Damgan was once renowned for its port of Pénerf, one of the most important in Brittany, but also for its saltworks. Here, the landscapes are made up of lagoon and coastal paths, perfect for a walk in the cool of the morning or for a hike or bike ride, in the direction of the tip of Kervoyal or the marshes of Saint-Guérin.
