It's all east of the Bay of Quiberon that Étel is located. A destination between land and sea, nestled on the banks of the river from which it takes its name, Étel is a subtle marriage of authenticity and elegance, gastronomic finesse and fine gourmet dishes. A perpetual spectacle changing according to the vagaries of the weather and the tides, Étel fascinates by the variety of its many faces, each one more beautiful than the next. The best way to discover it is to opt for a bike ride or a walk to discover its most inspiring scenery. Take the time to stroll around the village's port: nestling at the mouth of the Ria, this former large tuna fishing port is now a renowned marina, attracting both lovers of the Ria and lovers of tranquillity during the summer months. Because you feel good here, in Étel, everything here is made to make you want to stay. The sun is here, the nature too, gorse, heather, granite and broom come to perfect the scenery and best of all: the horde of tourists is far, far away from here! Continue your visit of the port with the discovery of its large Semaphore which guides the entries and exits of the boats, to finally discover the boat cemetery and the Barre d'Étel. Situated at the mouth of the ria d'Étel, the Barre d'Étel is a must see: a natural phenomenon that forms at rising or falling tide, this wide underwater sandbank moves with the currents. A magnificent but dangerous spectacle for the sailors who are sometimes forbidden to enter the Ria by the Barre d'Étel, this site nevertheless impresses and does not fail to attract photographers passing through the station. Our advice? Embark aboard the Passeur to cross the thick arm of the river to reach the tip of the Fenoux Mast: from this quiet spot, you can enjoy an unforgettable panorama of the entire port, the entrance to the Ria and the Bar. The Tuna Museum is also an essential part of your visit to Etel: located on the port, it retraces the history of the Etellois epic in this area. For a dive into the heart of traditions, you can also attend the Tuna Festival during the summer, the opportunity for small gourmets and big gourmets to taste this fish in all sauces! But the port is also the perfect place to embark on a cruise to discover the splendours of the ria: from the emblematic islet of Saint-Cado to Port Niscop, via the Lorois Bridge, the Nohic Island, those of Roëlan, Gravignez, Groix and Quiberon, we assure you that the visit is worth it!

Finally, it is impossible to stay at Étel without enjoying its beaches, including the magnificent Pradic beach. A wild paradise in the heart of the town, running from the port to the mouth of the river, it is adored by sports enthusiasts and families. The beach of Kerminihy is also to be seen: bordered by a coastal path through its dunes, it is the most frequented during the summer period, while remaining nevertheless pleasant.
