Located south of Pointe du Raz and Audierne Bay, the municipality of Plouhinec offers its visitors 8 kilometres of superb coastline and the opportunity for many excursions, both hiking, cycling and river trips, to discover the richness of its coastline, particularly thanks to its two ports, the port of Poulgoazec and the port of Pors Poulhan. Swimmers will be able to go to the 4 beautiful beaches of the town, both wild and preserved, to swim in peace and quiet and indulge in long sessions of idleness. With its beautiful green dunes, "Plage de Mesperleuc" is certainly the most popular of the seaside resort: well equipped with its playgrounds, its tiralo (for holidaymakers with reduced mobility), its school and its surf spot, it attracts both skiers and families who come to relax on its white sand. With its lagoon-like air, clear sand and magnificent water, "Gwendrez Beach" is a surf spot well known to sports enthusiasts, but also to the inhabitants of Plouhinec who come to relax and enjoy its relaxing surroundings. Further on, the wild beach of Kerziny is a delight for fishermen on foot who come to find shrimps and crustaceans at low tide; and even if the town is not renowned for its affluence, this beach will still allow you to escape the crowd of the resort's main beaches in order to enjoy the calm and beauty of the Plouhinécois coast. Finally, the beach of Saint-Julien, with its transparent waters, will satisfy lovers of water sports who will be able to stand-up paddle, wave-ski (a discipline between kayaking and surfing, where the water sports centre is a pioneer), but also surfing, rowing, or even kayaking towards Pointe du Raz.
On foot, by bike, on horseback or by canoe, the municipality of Plouhinec can be discovered in a thousand different ways along its paths and routes accessible to all. In addition to the GR34, the town is crossed by 5 marked circuits which will each offer you very beautiful panoramas on the town and the sea. The picturesque port of Pors Poulhan undeniably invites you to take a stroll, just like its neighbour, the one of Poulgoazec, whose auction we recommend you visit at around 4pm, in order to be able to buy and taste delicious seafood products such as lobsters, famous blue lobsters, sea bream and freshly caught turbot. Take the sports trail, visit the water mill of Tréouzien, the churches of Saint-Julien and Saint Winoc, not to mention the pond of Poulguidou, famous for its wild orchids, carnivorous plants and many protected bird species. Finally, it is impossible to stay in Plouhinec without going to Pointe du Raz: located only fifteen kilometres from the town, this exceptional site known for its 70-metre high cliffs sculpted by the tumults of the Iroise Sea and the wind will offer you breathtaking landscapes!
