Ideally located on the shores of the Gulf of Morbihan, in Brittany, Baden is a seaside resort that is resolutely open to the sea. With its 37 kilometres of serrated and rocky coastline, Baden's territory promises a total change of scenery, and many discoveries on land and at sea.
What makes Baden so charming is undoubtedly its coastline, which is absolutely superb. Wild, rugged and bordered by clear water, Baden's coastline reveals to its lucky visitors incomparable panoramas of the vastness of the ocean and its protected nature. It is also dotted with islands, each more beautiful and unique than the next: Reno, Petit Vezy, Grand Vezy, Seniz and the Sept-Îles are among the most beautiful islands in Baden. While most of them are accessible by boat, Seniz is connected to the mainland by a thick sandbank that unveils itself at low tide, offering walkers a beautiful walking trail with breathtaking views of the open sea and Baden.
Hiking fans? Banden is definitely the perfect place to pack your bags. With its many marked trails, the town is full of itineraries through its wild territory. From the Baden Mill to the Pont Neuf, passing by Pomper, the ponds of Toulvern and the banks of the Auray river which waters the town to the west, you will discover some of the most beautiful landscapes of the Baden region, a paradise for bird lovers who come in large numbers every year to observe geese, terns and late birds. Don't miss the church of Saint-Pierre, the dolmen of Toulvern on the megalithic route, the chapels of Mériadec and Locmiquel, the pier of Île aux Moines, Port Blanc and its breathtaking views over the sea, but also the salt marshes of Pen en Toul, as well as the many coastal paths that line the beaches of Baden, such as the well-known GR 34.
Beaches: this is Baden's other major asset. The municipality is also known to host one of the most beautiful beaches in the Gulf of Morbihan: that of the Seven Islands. Located at the tip of Locmiquel, between Larmor-Plage and Baden, this dream beach changes its face with the tides. If it is appreciated by kayakers and sailing enthusiasts, it is also appreciated by families for its calm and the splendour of its landscapes. Lovers of water sports? Baden will allow you to enjoy many sports sessions on the waves: catamarans, surfing, dinghy, paddle, sea excursions... There will be something for everyone! Finally, if you prefer water sports to those on land, then we can only recommend that you go to the Gulf of Baden, located 4 kilometres from the city centre. Well known for its 18 holes, it is one of the most beautiful in Brittany thanks to its privileged location halfway between sea, river and woods.

We recommend a tour of the gulf by boat and walks along the coastal path. The pancake house "La Goêlette" in Baden is a good address, as well as the tasting of oysters directly at the oyster farmers: a good experience.
