It is in the Haute-Tarentaise Valley that the popular village resort of Bourg-Saint-Maurice is located. Not far from Italy, Bourg-Saint-Maurice is known for its four high altitude sites : Arc 2000, Arc 1950 Le Village, Arc 1800 and Arc 1600, as well as for its ideal location in the heart of the Savoie mountains.
Resolutely sporting, Bourg-Saint-Maurice is the place where you should spend your holidays if you are a mountain dweller in the heart of a thrill seeker. With its wide slopes, dense forests, unpacked slopes and snow parks, it is the favourite resort for experienced or beginner riders. The latter will be able in particular to be initiated with the joys of the glide in playful zones being reserved for them. Located 7 minutes via the funicular, the Paradiski ski area (2nd largest ski area in the world with its 425 kilometres of slopes) is truly a winter sports enthusiast's paradise. Alpine skiing, tobogganing, speedriding, snakegliss with the family or yoga in the snow, so many activities which will allow you to rub shoulders with the highest peaks and to taste the powder in a convivial and family atmosphere. The most adventurous can try the unforgettable experience of a paragliding flight over the snowy peaks, or an ice climbing session. In winter, spend a night in the "Igloo Village" perched at an altitude of over 2000 metres, go for a walk with dog sleds, skijoëring (horse-drawn skiing) or snowmobiling under the starry sky of Bourg-Saint-Maurice ! On fine days, the resort also offers many leisure activities away from the slopes. Nearby, some thirty activities await holidaymakers : tennis, rafting, climbing, swimming pool with a view of Mont Blanc, adventure trail, hiking or cycling along nearly 180 kilometres of marked itineraries from 800 to 2600 metres above sea level. It also has 2 golf courses, one with 18 holes and the other with 9, which will be perfect for golfers to perfect their swing in an unusual natural setting.
On snowshoes or skis, hiking and Nordic walking enthusiasts can enjoy some 20 kilometres of marked trails that will allow them to discover the breathtaking panoramas of Bourg-Saint-Maurice, its fauna, flora and immaculate valleys. The "Boucle des Ilettes" (6 kilometres) and the "Boucle des Marais" (4 kilometres) are ideal for beginners and family skiers. The "Boucle de Séez", 18 kilometres long, will delight sportsmen and women who are not afraid to work out.
The après-ski promises holidaymakers beautiful moments of relaxation : with your bathing suit on, take a walk around the aquatic centre located on Saint-Jean Street. Aquabike, swimming, diving or kayaking lessons as well as a sauna will be at your disposal. You can also go to the fitness area, relax during a balneotherapy session or a family bowling game : you will have understood it, you will have only the embarrassment of the choice to finish your days in beauty.
Typical village of Savoie, Bourg-Saint-Maurice is to visit absolutely. Take the time to discover its local crafts, and to taste the different gastronomic traditions that make the reputation of the region. Savoy Emmental, raclette, country hams, potée, omelette and Savoy fondue will warm you up after long days in the snow. Our advice : go to the restaurant "Le Chalupot", to discover its tasty home cooking, as well as the "Montagnole" for its explosive vegan menu and its gourmet tartiflettes.

"Le Galta" in the Galerie du Charvet (Arc 1800) is a top delicatessen with good products: good value for money, the owner is very welcoming and good advice, his cheese is excellent, he lent us a real raclette machine to taste our half wheel with friends! At the top! It brightened up our stay with the closing of the restaurants.

It is THE appointment of the month of October in Les Arcs, the "Démontagnée Gourmande" of Bourg-Saint-Maurice and the opportunity to meet on the occasion of the descent of the mountain pastures. This year, this festive day will give you the opportunity to discover a wonderful (and musical!) parade of herds of Tarines and Abundance cows, goats, sheep, but also other animals from the mountain pastures. An event closed with a ball of the Young Farmers, from 20:30. Tasting of regional products, gourmet and festive animations will be accompanied by the sound of bells. Do you want to come?
