Avoriaz is one of the most prominent ski resorts in the Portes Du Soleil ski area, and it has everything to please : stunning views of the valley, local shops and high quality facilities that serve in winter the 6 green slopes, the 27 blue slopes, the 14 red slopes and the 6 black slopes. In total no less than 75 km of slopes down the slopes of Aare, Lindarets, Chavanette, Prodain and Super Morzine. The highest points of this resort in Haute Savoie are the Hautes-Forts (2466 m) and the Pointe des Mossettes en Valais (2250 m).
Since its creation, Avoriz is strictly forbidden to cars. Your journeys can be done on foot, by bike, by train, by roller skating, by skateboard or by scooter. Whatever the means of locomotion, in short, provided that it is not equipped with a heat engine ! This particularity contributes to the feeling of tranquility that seizes everybody as soon as it enters the station.
A water sports center, the Aquariaz, was opened in 2012. Waterfall, artificial rocks and the Amazon jungle form a true tropical paradise. At an altitude of 1800 m, this is not trivial ! The Aquariaz is divided into three zones. The first : the Water Tree with its slides and geysers that allow the little ones to have fun in all serenity. Second zone : the Slidewinder, a half-pipe on which you can launch to more than 10 m of height, all aboard a buoy. Third zone, finally, the relaxation area which includes a river with low current, bubble lounges with massaging benches and a swimming pool that faces a climbing wall. An icing on the cake, an outdoor jacuzzi offers panoramic views of the valley. The engineers who are at the origin of this artificial paradise have undoubtedly been inspired by the numerous lakes and waterfalls located less than 30 minutes from Avoriaz : the waterfall of the Brochaux, the lake of Montriond, the waterfall of Ardent...

Morzine is great to visit. For a swim or a stroll, the lake of Montriond is magnificent. The Lac des Mines d'Or is also great, perched at 1300m in the middle of the mountains towards the Nyon waterfalls. Walking route, hiking with magnificent views.
